Class Outline: Advanced Hypnotherapy
SUMMARY: This class is designed
to teach advanced applications of hypnosis, with emphasis on parts therapy for inner conflict resolution. The successful hypnotherapist must also know how to discover the cause(s) of subconscious
resistance, to facilitate release, and to enable subconscious re-learning. Prerequisite:
Basic Hypnosis AND Hypnotherapy training or equivalent.
Class 1 – Overview; Peak Performance: Overview
of advanced course, regressions for peak performance (confidence triggers) to improve self-esteem.
Class 2 – Introduction to Parts Therapy: What
Is Parts Therapy? Variations, overview of technique, summary of a session: Preparation, 11-Step Process, Conclusion.
Class 3 - The 11-Step Process: Detailed explanation
of each of the 11 steps, including role play of the steps.
Class 4 – A “Miracle on Demand”: Discussion
of the Tebbetts Therapy (Chapter 12 of text), Q/A
Class 5 – Mastering Parts Therapy: Conclusion,
Q/A, additional role play and/or demonstration.
Class 6 – Motivation Mapping: Utilizing an analytical
technique to help the clients discover sources of subconscious motivation.
Class 7 – Guest lecture – TBA by instructor:
A topic of interest will be presented by a guest lecturer, to be chosen by the instructor. As an alternative, there may be
a therapy demonstration.
Class 8 – Advanced Applications: Hypnotic childbirth,
hypnodontics, medical applications of hypnosis & pain management (must require physician referral).
Class 9 – Overview of hypnosis associations and
practice building: Once certified, now what? Summary of several hypnosis associations, building a practice and/or working
with other professionals, etc.
Class 10 – Written Certification Exam: Comprehensive
written exam covering all three segments of Diversified Client-Centered Hypnosis.
Additional requirements: One Book Review on a book relating
to hypnosis (if not done during Basic or Intermediate course), plus a Saturday workshop and/or private viewing of selected
videotapes to complete at least 50‑hours of total invested time for course instruction; student therapy, details explained
in the class; other assignments TBA.
Outside work: When combined with in-class, the student must
invest at least 50 hours or more for successful completion of the advanced course. Upon successful completion of all three
courses, the student will receive a certificate with the designation “Hypnotherapist.”
Each class may last up to three hours, but usually less. Students who miss classes may complete required
hours through rental of a videotape of the missed class, or in a manner approved by the instructor.
