Class Outline: Learning the Art of Basic Hypnosis
SUMMARY: Classes taught Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays, 8:30 AM to 2:00
PM. with half hour for lunch.
Class 1 - Introduction to Basic Hypnosis. Overview of history of hypnosis; demonstrations
and explainations.
Class 2 - Business Planning for Hypnotherapy Career; Legal & ethical issues.
Class 3 - A day in the life of a hypnotherapist; first contact, consultation,
forms, practice.
Class 4 - Intake procedures; demonstration of power of imagination, establishing
type of induction to use; and client agreements.
Classes 5 & 6 - The six basic induction types; explanation of induction types,
techniques, discussion, and demonstrations.
Class 7 - Deepening and Awakening; demonstrations practice.
Class 8 - Testing for depth & Convincers; Ideomotor responsers, supervised
practice.
Class 9 - Convincers & Post Hypnotic Suggestions; learn to convince the client
they are truly hypnotized. Differences between theraputic and non-theraputic suggestions, direct and indirect suggestions
and suggestionstructure.
Class 10 - Sunday Class for review, practice and Basic exam.
On completion of the Basic course the student will have completed 50 hours
of training.
Required reading: The Art of Hypnosis: Mastering Basic Techniques by
Roy Hunter On completion the student will receive a certificate for "Basic Hypnosis".
